Allergy Alert - Voortman Chunky Chip Cookies

                     Burlington, Ontario (SafetyAlerts) - The Canadian
Food Inspection
                     Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to
milk protein not to
                     consume Voortman Chunky Chip Cookies, as this
product may contain
                     milk protein which is not declared on the label.
The recall of this product
                     is of concern to those individuals who have
allergies to milk protein.

                     The Chunky Chip Cookies are manufactured by
Voortman Cookies Ltd.
                     and are sold in 300g packages with a UPC of 0 67312
00140 8, and
                     date codes of DE 25 or JA 15. The product is
distributed in Canada
                     and the United States.

                     Voortman Cookies Ltd. is voluntarily recalling the
product. The
                     consumption of these cookies may cause a serious or
life-threatening
                     reaction in persons with allergies to milk protein.
There has been one
                     reported illness associated with this product.

                     At the time of this posting there had not been a
corresponding notice
                     issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
