Hi Rick,

Yes, but since it was a game I was installing, I don't believe it
could have added lots of DLL files on my system (maybe updated
some DirectX component or something, but I can fix it without any
problem by re-installing it - and I played Thief 2 yesterday and
my DirectX settings were fine). Also, there could be a software
(other than the game I was installing before rebooting) that
could have caused all this mess: I was listening to an MP3 song
with Sonique and the song was still playing until the screen went
black (when exiting Windows). maybe that could have caused a
problem, since in the BOOTLOG.TXT file, there was this:
"Load Fail: aic25_32.ax failed to load code 0015"
and somebody told me this file was related to the audio codec.
Just tell me if I'm wrong...

Sure it is! But I made a backup of my registry and other
important files yesterday night, "just in case", and I got a
Ghost Image right now on a CD (how could somebody live without a
CD Writer nowadays?? hehe!).

If you ever find one, just let me know, PLEASE!!! ;-)

Thanks for your help!
