I own an Epson 740 printer which I think is great. I also own an HP 5100C
scanner which is also great. My only problem is that HP will no longer
support the scanner that I purchased 3 years ago, and the software that came
with it crashed Win 2000 the 3 times that I tried to install it. HP would
not help me unless I paid them $25 but it was their driver that crashed Win
2000. So for support reasons I would go with Epson. Epson's support is $10
after the warranty is expired. I hope this helps.
