Celery root. It's an ugly-looking root vegetable that tastes

If you wanted to use it to make paleo clam chowder (celeriac can
be eaten raw, and in fact is sometimes served that way in strips,
for dipping) you would just cut off the hideous outer skin, cut
it into small cubes, and throw it in your chowder. I haven't
tried this, but I might do so. I think it would work.
