wondering
if there is a brand of bacon and sausage which doesn't contain sodium
nitrate. I've called all of the health foods stores in our area and
can't
find any. I did find turkey bacon which doesn't contain any, but
it's 99%
fat-free and I'm looking to add fat to my diet, believe it or not.
 Explanation to follow.
 Thanks! : )

Whole Foods has a brand of bacon that has no nitrates. I can't
remember the
brand name...(well I remembered before finishing this post -
Pedersons)it is
very expensive and has a very sweet taste. Ingredients list brown
sugar.
They have a lot of other nitrate free deli meats.
