There have been sightings of HUGE numbers of crows (hundreds?, thousands?) hanging out in trees on one of our parkways the past couple of weeks. They were talking about it on the radio yesterday. Apparently the trees were black with them. People were describing it like a scene from Hitchcock's "The Birds". (Play Twilight Zone music here). :-) Of course it has been below 0*F so maybe they are huddling for warmth?

Totally off topic and of interest only to the bird watchers on the list.
Has anyone noticed any strange bird activity you know gangs, shoplifting
incidents?
Seriously though, we have an unusually high number of robins hanging around
this year. Usually they go farther south than us.
