5 Days to March For Freedom

Speaking For Ourselves, [log in to unmask], writes:

The April 26, March to the Capitol is growing. Please come and join us.
We
need you to be with us as we all March For Freedom.

This will be very exciting. We are going into the new Millenium. This is
the
first ever cross disability Freedom March across Pennsylvania. Parents,
children and people with disabilities all will March together to mark
the
history of the disability movement across the country in the 50 states.
So
come and be part of this exciting event Marching For Freedom across the
country. We are also remembering the people who have died trying to free
people in nursing homes and State institutions.

We are expecting more than 250 people to attend. March to the Capitol
and
let government hear us.

We are all fighting for the same thing -- Freedom for people locked
behind
closed doors in nursing homes and State institutions.

A free bag lunch will be provided to all Marchers.

We will sing freedom songs (David Guare, singer) and March together.

We will say thanks for all the people who have been freed from State
Institutions and cry out for freedom for the people still remaining in
nursing homes and State Institutions.

We have two buses coming from Philadelphia and Chester counties, 10 vans
from Erie, Scranton, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and people training
from
Altoona, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and the State of New Jersey.

Meet at the Harrisburg Hilton, 10 a.m., April 26th, March to the Capitol
for
Freedom. For more information call PCCD at 1-800-432-306 or Speaking For
Ourselves at 1-800-876-3330, E-mail [log in to unmask]
