Harmonious Wail and The DuVall-Brown Quintet Share CD Release Concert

Two groups celebrate the release of three new CD's in concert, Sunday,
December 7th at 7:00 pm at the First Unitarian Society.

MADISON, Wisconsin. -- Gypsy Swing group Harmonious Wail joins forces
with The Michelle DuVall - Doug Brown quintet in a special CD release
concert Sunday, December 7th, at 7:00 pm. at the First Unitarian
Society, 900 University Bay Drive. Admission is $10.00. 10% of
admissions will be donated to Wisconsin Harvest.
The concert marks the official release of DuVall and Brown's two recent
recordings "Standards" and "Chillin' At The White Horse", and the CD
"Gypsy Swing", by Harmonious Wail, just released on the Naxos World
label.
Harmonious Wail was chosen by Naxos World to be the first band on the
label to record Gypsy Swing, the only jazz style coined outside the USA.
Blending the instrumental fire power of Gypsy jazz guitar with Jethro
Burns-inspired jazz mandolin and sultry vocals that hark back to the
time when Swing was King, Harmonious Wail carves out a unique niche that
appeals to swing fans of all styles.
Michelle DuVall and Doug Brown's CD "Chillin' At The White Horse"
features DuVall's enchanting voice, a "rock solid" quintet, and premier
performances of ten of Brown's original, thirties-style songs. The songs
were all inspired by characters DuVall & Brown met at Madison's White
Horse Inn where for three years the duo polished their act. "Chillin"
was recorded soon after the duo's successful debut CD "Standards", and
both recordings are currently being distributed to Madison area stores.
