fyi, this message is in regards to the US-based terrorism against
Cuba, which to date has caused the death or maiming of over
5,000 Cuban victims since 1959.
Five Cuban nationals were working to unveil terrorist activities in
Miami against Cuba. To inform the US of these activities, five years
ago the Cuban Government notified the FBI of their findings with
4,000 pages of documented evidence. Instead of arresting the
terrorists, the five Cuban nationals were arrested and convicted
by a Miami court under fabricated charges. Their legal defense
is requesting that their appeal be based on the process enacted
by the US after 9/11.
We will trivialize the war against terrorism if the Cuban
nationals are not exonerated, and the US-based terrorists are
not prosecuted for their vicious crimes. Instead of sending the
five Cubans to prison, the US should have awarded them the
highest honors for their courage in our fight against terrorism.

Subject: Letter to US Judge Joan Lenard
From Free The Miami Five Campaign
The attention of the campaign has been drawn to a special condition of the release of Antonio Guerrero which appears to imply that the US legal system is aware of the location of known terrorist groups and, contrary to the stated position of the Federal Government, is unwilling or unable to take action against these individuals and groups, apparently because their terrorism is aimed against the population of Cuba.
We have decided to take this up directly with the Judge and will forward any information she provides to the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security urging them to prosecute these individuals under the legal processes enacted following the 11 September attacks. Nothing less would be tolerated by the US administration were similar terrorists discovered to be located in Ireland.
We know that it was precisely this request to the FBI by the Cuban Government (backed up with 4,000 pages of documentary evidence) five years ago which lead, not to the arrest of the terrorists, but to the arrest of the Five.

Free THE MIAMI Five
Irish National Campaign seeking Justice for the Miami Five
WHO ARE THE MIAMI FIVE?
Five Cubans who were trying to stop Miami based terrorist groups from carrying out violent actions against the people of Cuba. They were found guilty of charges ranging from murder to espionage by a court in Miami which relied on the evidence of convicted terrorists. All are innocent of the charges brought against them. Extensive intimidation of jurists by these same terrorists was a feature of the trial. They are currently appealing their convictions.
CAMPAIGN AIMS
The release and exoneration of the five victims of this obvious miscarriage of justice.
CAMPAIGN DEDICATION
The campaign is dedicated to the memory of the 3,478 Cubans killed and 2,099 maimed at the hands of US-based terrorists groups since 1959.

Honourable Judge Joan Lenard,
United States District Court,
Southern District of Florida,
Miami, Florida, USA
17 February 2003
Dear Judge,
I have been asked to write to you in connection with your sentencing of Antonio Guerrero (CASE NO. 98-721-CR-LENARD).
The committee of the Irish Free the Miami Five campaign has read with concern the special additional condition of release added to his sentence, as follows:
"As a further special condition of supervised release the defendant is prohibited from associating with or visiting specific places where individuals or groups such as terrorists, members of organizations advocating violence, and organized crime figures are known to be or frequent"
We wonder if you could provide us with details of the locations in the USA where you know that terrorists are located or that they frequent.
We would like to advise Irish citizens of these locations to ensure that they do not accidentally become terrorist targets whilst visiting relatives in the USA.
Yours sincerely,
