But Uncle Ben, the big question to me is this. Why in the world do we sit around with all this business opportunity floating around us and let it go down the drain? I do not think blaming the British will help us here. Nkrumah gave us a beautiful airline, look what we did to it.

It's all trademarked mismanagement. Remember Annmarie's stories about her sisters ordeal with Ghana Airways? How can you hold a whole plane just for the Minister's wife on a shopping spree? And many, many more just ridiculous stuff. We are simply not trying.

That's my piece. Thanks

BA has found out that Ghana Airways is folding and they want to capture the African market. With Air Afrique, Sabina {God knows where Nigerian Airways is in all of this), and now Ghana Air out of the competition, the entire West African coast is a fertile market for BA to step in. But guess what? Passengers traveling on British Airways will be allowed only ONE luggage of 30 or 40 Kilos. This means that anything more than the allowed luggage will be subject to excess levy. A good reason why they would not want to fly out of New York or Chicago, where the TWO luggage per passenger is mandatory.
