I feel like a bit of a schmuck. I just noticed that the fans weren't
plugged in. :-)

This evening, after 2 days of not being able to start my computer (the
worst it's ever been) I read in a troubleshooting guide that power to all
drives, LED's and fans (with the exception of the two unplugged ones of
course) but no signal to monitor or beep codes could signal a RAM
problem. I switched the RAM DIMM from slot 3 to slot 2 and it booted right
up. I'm hopeful that this will permanently fix the problem but not
convinced so far. That's the problem with "periodic" issues.

Thanks for any replies so far, I still welcome any knowledge related to
such problems and Abit boards.
