I looked back in the archives to see which operating system you were using
and didn't find it in previous posts. I have USB installed and enabled on
a Win 95b machine. It will recognize only some USB devices when attached. I
get more failures than successes with 95b. I hope that you are using
Windows 98 as your operating system.
