Canadians warned of pork drug
CALGARY - The Canadian Health Coalition is advising Canadians to stop eating
pork because of fears about carbadox.
'This product Š was tested and retested a number of times' The drug is used
to treat illnesses such as dysentery in young pigs. But it is also a known
carcinogen. However, Health Canada says the harmful properties of the
carbadox are eliminated if farmers stop using it at least 35 days before
they slaughter their animals...
