True. My son raises rats, and they will eat just about
anything if given the chance.

Nope. As far as I can tell, rats eat more
intelligently than humans. First, a rat will "try" a
new food by taking just a bit. If, after a certain
period of time (instinctive) the rat suffers no ill
effects, it will continue eating the food. But - and
here's where they really differ from humans - rats
never seem to overeat. A little bit of this, a little
bit of that, and that's it.
Fascinating little critters. Very intelligent - and
friendly, too.
