Comrades:

Mr. Bakary Jarju has been nominated by the UDP
as its candidate in the by-elections for Kiang
East Constituency. NRP has decided not to
nominate candidates for Kiang East and Central
Baddibu Constituencies.

It is apparent that the UDP is setting up a
strategy in not nominating a candidate for Central
Baddibu until APRC announces its candidate.
According to reliable sources "Dr." Lamin Sawo
will be APRC's candidate, thus initiating a
violation of decree 89. This should set stage
for the UDP to nominate Hon. S.M. Dibba for his
old seat.

Comrades, I want to thank the leadership of the
UDP for not rushing in nominating a candidate
for Central Baddibu until APRC announces its
candidate. My prediction is that Lamin Sawo
will be the APRC candidate. The leadership of
UDP will then be under pressure to cease this
golden opportunity in nominating Hon. S.M. Dibba
for his old seat.

Naphiyo,

Comrade ML Jassey-Conteh
