Amaranth is not a grain. It is not even a member of the grass family. It is
a dicot and not a monocot. If you go to this database you will find
numerous types of Amaranth listed, but no pictures.

Since amaranth is often considered a weed I checked a weed database. This
one has good pictures:

I can readily find amaranth in the park up the street. Here's a picture I
