Hi This is what I found out.
I was advised to use the blood test as a screening only.
That the tests are not always read accurately.
That the biopsy is the true test and that this also takes skill to read
and that a number of samples should be taken.
There are only a few labs in the US that are capable of reading the test
I have a list of labs in the US that do accurate tests if anyone wants
it I also have an explaination of the test by a specialist There is a
much more accurate test do by stool sample Lab: Enterolab by Dr. Kenneth
Fines at www.finerhealth.com They use the blood test in Winnepeg, Manitoba.
I still don't know about Ontario? I will be going to the doctor soon and
ask.

Subject: Blood test
Hi Everyone I was wondering if the blood test for celiac disease was
done in Canada routinely as I was diagnosed without it 17 years ago. I
want to know for my children. Is it accurate, I want to know before
I ask for it. My one son is always complaining his stomach is bothering
him. The other has attention defict disorder. Which I read recently
could be celiac related. Thanks in advance.
