Thanks Bob,  I do not have anything in either autoexec.bat or config.sys and
all is fine so I guess I will leave alone. Seems to me though that I had at
one time himem sys, files=40, umb=high etc  may have not been necessary, was
just wondering if those settings would help. I know this old Gateway sure
runs better on Win 95. Alot faster
