Hi again collective list wit,

I have an Artec AS6E EPP scanner which works fine, but very slowly. On
start-up, this message pops up:

"You are scanning at less than optimal speed. To maximize scan speed,
consult your cpu manual on how to access the system BIOS to set the I/O mode
to EPP mode."

I accessed set-up/integrated peripherals/parallel port mode and then F1 for
help. In help, I get this:

Available Options:
Compatible <BIOS> <SETUP>
Extended
EPP
ECP

But I can't / don't know how to select EPP. Can anyone help me with this?
Have I given enough info? I'm really quite a nice guy, just not too bright!
Is it possible I bought an EPP scanner when I should have bought an SCSI?
Any and all help appreciated...TIA

Alan Thompson
