The technical term for jumping off of the Brooklyn Bridge is "Take a Brodie" or
"Do a Brodie"
as in Steve Brodie who claimed to have jumped from the BB, on a $100 bet &
survived in 1886 and rode the fame to a career as a saloon keeper.
