Dear Friends:
Just a note to share some exciting news:
Jonathan Gramling and Charlestine "Charlie" Daniel have been selected to
receive the 2002 Dane County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Recognition Awards.
The awards will be presented, by Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk, at the
Monday, January 21, 17th Annual City-County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Observance at the Madison Civic Center, 211 State Street, Madison.
The agenda for the evening is as follows:
5:30 p.m. - Fountain of Life Gospel Ensemble, Yonim Dancers and singing of
freedom songs
6:15 p.m. - Annual City-County Dr. King Awards, Call for Peace Drum and
Dance Company
Please note that Call for Peace has brought its message to audiences
nationally and internationally in a performance called "Dancing the Dream"
in Germany, Russia, Israel and the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
Congratulations to Charlie and Jonathan and profuse thanks for their
relentless outpouring of encouragement and positive energy into our
community.
