</FONT><FONT SIZE=4><P ALIGN="CENTER">Identify individuals who can serve as delegates to the National Summit on Africa, February 16-20, 2000.</P>
<P>Educate Wisconsin on the importance of United States relations with Africa in the next millennium.</P>
<P>Bring together and Utilize professionals from UW-Madison and the State of Wisconsin to create a dialogue on Africa.</P>
<P>Highlight faculty research efforts concentrating on the African continent.</P>
<P>Develop a group of faculty, staff, students and community leaders that are versed on current issues facing Africa.</P>
<P>Support the University of Wisconsin African Studies Program and other related departments in their efforts to forge linkages between the African continent and UW-Madison system.</P>
<P>Expose the Campus community to the efforts and commitments of individuals and organizations working for a definable U.S policy toward Africa.</P>
<P>Implement permanent initiatives with UW-Madison and the Madison Community relating to Africa.</P>
