A couple folks have mentioned that the Duron is the "best bang for the buck"
going right now. The Duron does cost a little less than, and outperform
the Celeron, however for a low cost system I'm not sure the Duron is best.
First, it takes a more expensive socket A. MB. Then, a more expensive AMD
approved case with extra fans and bigger power supply, fan/ heatsink. I
think it would really depend on one's application for the system to
determine which is "best". One can build a VERY inexpensive general
purpose system using the celeron with the currently discussed all-in-one
MBS, e.g., 810 chipset board, etc. On a higer end system, I haven't
really compared, but the Celeron is easy to OC and heat doesn't appear to be
as great a problem.

Edna Sloan
