Thanks for your responses.  To summarize:  Everyone who responded said
that cotton candy was just sugar, food coloring (and air).  Some folks
asked the vendor to read the package and recommended that I do the same.
Others said that their children, some of whom are very sensitive, eat
it with no bad reactions.  Susan
