I am new to this list. My daughter (10) has just been diagnosed with
Celiac Disease. She is also an Insulin Dependent Diabetic. We are having
trouble finding her a suitable diet. Is there anyone out there who is
dealing with both of these issues in a child? I sure would appreciate
any help you could offer.  Right now the dietition's solution is just
replace her current carbohydrates with gluten free.  I am finding that
it is not that easy.  One of our biggest issues right now is that she
does not like the taste of the gluten free bread and the other issue we
face is that many of the gluten free substitutes are high in sugar.

Thanks in advance for any help you can be. By the way, we live in the
Phoenix area. If anyone knows of a support group here I'd be interested.
