Yesterday I picked up some Idaho Supreme Mashed Potato Flakes. (IDAHO
SUPREME POTATOES, INC. - Firth, Idaho 83236 USA - (208) 346-6841). They
told me there is NO gluten in their product or their processing **BUT**
when they did in depth research into gluten contaminating their product,
they determined that there may be gluten in the packaging materials
(cardboard box, and inner poly bag). I haven't heard of such a thing.
Is it being excessive if I discard the product (it's for my children, I
use it to coat & fry chicken "nuggets") because of the packaging? I'm
guessing they must mean in the glue, he didn't really know. I'm thinking
if I cut the poly bag and not rip it open... or is this being careless?
Has anyone else used this product, or hear/experience problems using a
product packaged this way?
