Thank you so much for your help and considerate attention.
I downloaded and installed the "Shutdown Supplement" from
Microsoft and it seems to have fixed the problem. Earlier I
posted that I couldnt find the fast shutdown option in
Msconfig. Its because when you install the aforemetioned
supplement it deletes the fast shutdown option. Live and
learn.Thanks again.
