Yes, can you supply more information on your win98shutdown issue?
More information is needed on things you have, can you check your 
power management? You can learn much about win98 shutdown issues

Hi: Im running a Gateway w/ 400MHz Celeron Processor....8MG
KGP...48MB Ram...6.8 GB IDE Harddrive....56K Modem. The
only "new" software Ive installed has been the usual
Windows updates. I think the last one was the Virtual
Machine update. Im running Norton AntiVirus and System
Mechanic. I dont believe I have power management features
running unless they're default settings. You asked about a
couple of other items but Im afraid I don't know what they
are. Anythoughts? Thank you
