I haven't lived up there since 91 so, I'm sure a lot has changed. There was
alot of construction going up in Chesapeake and Suffolk and they were able
to start construction south of the green line in VA Beach. I'm sure the
traffic has gotten exponentially worse. Been through the tunnels at rush
hour yet? :-) I lived in Ocean View for the rents also (I was in the
military at the time) had our own street hooker on the corner and had to be
careful not to get followed home at night after doing laundry. I'm glad you
could get out of there.
I always liked VA beach in the fall and winter, cooler, quieter. If you
like good, cheap folk music see if Ramblin Conrads is still up and running.
They sold instruments and also invited some great folk musicians.
I don't know about you but, it always takes me awhile to find my groove in a
place. Sounds like your settling in.
