Dan, I don't know how to set Outlook to not send messages to the deleted
items folder. My way around having to delete them twice is to set Outlook
to automatically delete messages from the 'deleted items' folder upon
exitting. You can do this by going into Tools / Options. Go to the
Maintenance tab and it is the first check box there. You can also set
Outlook not to save every message sent in the sent items folder. This
checkbox is on the Send tab. Hope this helps.
