We have been rooting for her for years. Marla Runyan is the one who did it.
She is the first legally blind athlete to make an Olympic team. See

It is especially amazing because she has been here at the Olympic Training
Center in Colorado Springs getting rehab for injuries several times over
the course of the last few years, most recently for a month just before the
trials. She's one tough woman.

I caught a quick blurb of a CNN news story this morning reporting the First
Legally Blind person to ever qualify for the Olympics.  Unfortunately I
missed the woman's name.  Did anyone hear this report and can you forward
me any details?
