    No, the socket 370 has a different number of pins that socket 7 and is
electrically quite different. ZIF stands for Zero Insertion Force, which
simply means that putting in and taking out a CPU requires no force.

    Physically yes, electrically no. I believe the Athlon has a key in a
different possition that prevents the insertion of a slot 1 CPU into what
the Athlon uses (Slot A) and vice versa. TTYL
