You may be on the right track. When you played with the cabling you might
have gotten the orientation of the cables mixed up. Identify pin 1 on each
ribbon cable (red or blue line) and find an arrow or a "1" or "2" on each
device to line up properly and insert. Also, the floppy cable is fussy so
make sure you are using the terminals at the furthest ends (the middle one
is for extra floppy device). Check that power supply leads are tight. You
shouldn't get long beeps from the BIOS at this point unless you messed with
the memory (SIMMs). Make sure SIMMs are filled in order (bank 0, bank 1,
bank 2, and bank 3). If after all of this you still can't even get to the
POST screen (that prompts you for going into BIOS setup) it's possible your
power supply may truly be on the fritz. Write back if these suggestions
