Linux typically makes the best use of available system resources.
Your option of upgrades will show the best results with processor
upgrades, followed by ram upgrades. A 486DX-100 will perform
admirably with linux... the ram needs is based on how much what
the server is expected to do. If it is a simple mail server, your 16mgs
are fine. If it is interactive, such as a web server or game server...
ram is critical... add more.
