That is the way all mine are. All my printers work too.
I have seen (once) printer instructions where they said
do it the other way so I know it can be a possibility.
By the way, I can also print to the printer (connected to it)
a file from/on the ZIP drive... It will pause the zip drive if it
is multitasking in another area, but even that works for me...
It is obviously spooling or something, so make sure to
investigate your settings before giving up on a configuration.
