I hope this is the right place to ask this...I want to run IIS to test my
ASP's at home. Don't want to upload because, well, I just want it all
local. Overkill? I use this at work, and like it quite alot :-)
I'd like some input as to what OS to use. Is it available only with NT
Server? I have tried to configure Personal Web Server on 98 and got nothing
but crashes. I'm also considering Windows 2000, because I am at heart a
reckless sort who likes to experiment. The "guinea pig" machine is not the
only one I have, so I feel okay if it doesn't work out, except for the
expense of it all which will be the primary, but not sole, consideration.
When I find what software will work for me, I will then look into hardware
compatibility.
Thanks!
