Ok, more to add here, this morning I shutdown thecomputer and Yes I'm sure this is what I did, choose 'shutt down' and all shutt down fine, now when I got home from work the lap top fan was on.  Needless to say I
was just speechless, called dell tech support and they did not know why either.  Any suggestions?  I ran the diags for the inspiron 7500 and all checked out ok.  If anyone has any info about this system, if or
suggestions on why I should or should not buy this creasy thing, I'd be interested in reading your comments off list.
