I recently saw a program on the Food Network (cable
channel) which showed an adorable 3D pick-up truck
cake. In the back of the truck, they placed fruits
and vegetables which were hand made with some kind of
mixture which included marshmallows and confectionary
sugar. A friend said it sounded like marzipan (?),
but I am not familiar with this. If anyone is, and
can tell me the recipe, I'd like to see if it is
something I could make.
I am also looking for a white or yellow cake recipe
(from scratch, obviously milk-free). The only time of
year I get to eat cake is when I make it myself for a
relatives' birthday.
If anyone saw the t.v. show and paid better attention
than I, I'd like to converse. In the show, they held
up a magazine, which I believe was Family Circle. But
it was not this months edition. If anyone can help me
find the article describing this cake, I'd appreciate
it. I have been searching the Net, without luck.
Even if the cake and frosting recipe's are not
milk-free, I'll use my own recipe. I really want to
know how to make those cute fruits and veggies that
complimented the truck so well.
Thanks,
Suzanne
