Thank you very much Sariang. I totally agree with the end results that we
all so much desire. But at what cost? What i was saying here is that we
ought to be a little bit cautious and sceptical if you like, with certain
information being received from the Gambia.
Let the anger and maybe hatred of the system in the Gambia not cloud our
judgement. There are a lot of things wrong with the administration in place
in the Gambia. That my dear friend, is a fact.
But i beg to disaggree that everything done by the government in the Gambia
is wrong. The government is bound to get it right sometimes, no matter how
small a percentage compared to the whole picture.
Have it ever occured to you that Yaya might not be as bad as we are all
being made to believe? Maybe the guy is making a lot of mistakes (trusting
wrong advisers)? Just a thought which i think will be expanded for all the
wrong reasons. Just think about.
But what is surprising is that the majority on this forum tend to ignore
the fact that the Government gets it right sometimes. But choose to ignore
that fact and refuse to believe that this government can get anything right.
This is not conducive to democracy that we all so much desire, or should i
say claim to desire.
Let not our anger and hatred cloud our perspective and thinking.
And Sariang, what makes you so sure that i am on the ground in the gambia,
are you not assuming. You see this is got to stop. When you are dealing
with issues that concern a whole nation, you have got to be sure of your
facts, and there should be no room for assumptions.
Thus all information coming from, or about events in the Gambia should not
always be taken as the Gospel truth, but scrutinsed objectively.
For your information i do not support any political party in the Gambia.
But i used to read the L when i was in the Gambia (a long time ago), and
sometimes the information on the L would be so much at variance with what
was actually hapenning/happened on the ground that it was unbelievable, to
the extend of being laughable.
If the people using this forum are not careful, they risk loosing the crust
of what this forum is supposed to provide. This forum used to be an accurate
source of information. That is why we all need to be focussed on the real
end result desired in the Gambia, and let not our emotions guide us.
Thanks for your time.
baba
