Hi all,
My comp, which is 3 years old, has recently developed a low, rumbling noise.
It is not constant, nor is it predictable - it's intermittent. The noise, I
have determined, is not associated with either the cd-rom drive, or the A:\
drive. I assume the only other sources would be either the fan bearings, or
(gasp), hard drive bearings. I suppose removing and cleaning the fan motor
would be the logical way to rule out the fan. Any thoughts - advice? Need
more info? Thanks in advance.
