About Eve and the apple and the postulated hypoglycemic reaction
thereto...

Actually, most Biblical scholars believe the forbidden fruit was really
a quince, as they were more common to the region where the garden was
supposed to be.  The translation into the western bible reads, "apple"
because those were more common in Europe.  Does anyone know the glycemic
index of a quince?
