Michael,

When you are installing the drivers did you shut down all programs running
in the background.  Virus scanners are known to cause blue screens during
installation if they are running? Also are you using the newest drivers, the
current version is Liveware 3.0 and has updated drivers for the Live 1024.
The updated driver dated 5-5-00 and can be found on Creative's Sound Blaster
web site.
