ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I breastfed my son for 9 months, and I have a friend who breastfed hers for 
14 months straight and both kids have allergies. But I do agree it helps to 
breastfeed as long as possible. In my case we didn't realise anything was 
wrong until AFTER I gave up breastfeeding and we were using a dairy-based 
formula. The child was 9 months old and not a new born, so the problems were 
easier to deal with and less risky to the child.
