Carl,
My gut feeling on this is power. One drawback to the AMD systems is they
require a little extra juice to keep them stable. What kind of power supply
do you have? AMD recommends nothing smaller than a 300W supply.
The other possibility is heat. Do you have extra cooling? And if so, how
much? A Peltier(sp?) cooler would be the best bet (unless you wanted to
spend $500 on a Kryotech system and overclock your chip another 300-400Mhz).
It would help to have answers to these questions to more accurately diagnose
the problem. One final possibility is just a lower grade chip that slipped
through the initial testing.
