I hope you still have the manual for your motherboard. I had a
similar
problem with an AOpen motherboard that failed to recognize half of
its installed memory. On that motherboard the memory banks themselves
were enabled and disabled by jumpers on the motherboard. Lacking the
manual, it took me about an hour to stumble upon the correct jumper
combination to enable both banks of SIMMS and utilize all the memory.
Later (when the manual was finally located), I found my combination to
be correct, but it would have been much easier and quicker to have
been
able to consult the manual in the first place <G>.
