I would like to know the answer, too, but it's distinctly
possible that no one knows. I suppose we should not assume that
every human being is suited for a high-fat diet. I think I would
favor a cautious and gradual implementation of the nutritionist's
suggestions, to see if there is any change, positive or negative.
Some people whose gall bladders have been removed are able to
tolerate a high-fat diet, so I doubt that that is the complete
explanation. The pancreatic enzyme theory is more vague, and
therefore harder to assess. It's possible, for example, that the
pancrease was damaged by a virus somewhere along the line,
compromising its function in this particular way. It would be
very hard to know for sure.
