Actually, that's a category mistake.  Extinction is not something
you can do to an individual animal, only to a species.  And it's
not clear that the extinction of a species has anything to do
with cruelty to individual animals, since they are probably not
concerned about the fate of their species.

Cruelty to pigs is about how you treat pigs, not about how many
pigs there are or what their future prospects may be.
