What is the purpose of running a thorough scandisk from windows anyway? I've heard from others and have experienced it myself, that, It can detect bad
sectors that are not really bad and mark them as such and can actually cause physical damage to a perfectly good hard drive. Have any of you had this
experience? I only do standard scandisk's now unless I do them from dos.
