Mine does the same thing, after the pc goes into energy saving suspend
mode. No changes to the green settings seem to matter. I suspect the
video driver is not co-operating with my KDS 19" monitor. I plan to get
the newest video driver / bios for my Diamond adapter and load the monitor's
driver. I am interested in hearing any other suggestions.

Hi all,
My 300-MHz computer with Windows 98 had been running continuously for
months without a problem, but now it started to quit after running 8 to 10
minutes. When the problem occurs, everything on the screen blanks out
except a blinking cursor in the upper left corner. Ctrl-Alt-Del does NOT
bring up the window showing a faulty program. I have to reboot to continue
operation (boot process is normal).
The only change in the system occurred a week ago when I installed a
17-inch monitor. Since the existing driver performed so well, I did not
install the driver for the new monitor. Everything was OK for a few days.
Could this have led to my present problem?
