I have just done an upgrade with a K6- 2 450.I put in an EPoX MVP3C
super 7 mo/bo. There is a later version which is ata66, MVP3CII. SOYO &
Gigabyte
also make good super 7 mo/bos The Giga byte board has only one ISA
slot.In short the answer to your question is "super 7".HTH
Laurence

Subject: [PCBUILD] AMD K2 socket

| What socket type is required for an AMD K6 2 CPU and does it require a
| special mainboard? Just a query to make up my mind about upgrading in the
| near future.
